Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Divorce -- What Really Made Kim Leave Him

I've been reading all of the press about how Kim Kardashian, 31, recently filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, 26, and thought I'd add my two pennies. Note, I'm not advocating either way about how she should've stayed married. I simply want to take a guess as to what went down.

In my post about Kim and Kris last April, I said that she was breaking a lot of Rules, but that Kris would still propose. My prediction came true. Kris pops the question and Kim's ecstatic! She survived the Reggie Bush fall-out of him not wanting to marry her, can now join her sister's in moving on to the next phase of her life, and simultaneously gets her mother, Kris Jenner, off her back. Let's not forget, Kris Jenner was on The View crying about how disappointed she is that Kourtney won't marry Scott. I can't imagine the pressure she put on Kim to settle down.

Meanwhile, Khole and Lamar seem to have a great marriage, Kourtney and Scott are holding it together, Kris and Bruce have been married for decades, and Kim, with all of her beauty, fame, money, pressure from the public, her family, and herself, is thrilled to finally be off the market. Thus, they wed.

But, not all is perfect. A longtime family friend, E!'s Heather MacDonald told Us Weekly that Kris, "isn't exactly the nicest guy." Kris then loses hundreds of thousands of dollars in an investment scam. I bet any money (no pun intended) that he never told Kim he was doing this. There was no mention that they lost it together. Nope. Kris took that hit alone.

That right there is a major deal-breaker for any couple. Had Kris told Kim about his plan to invest this money, Kim, being the shrewd business woman that she is, probably would have said "no." While hundreds of thousands might be a drop in the bucket to them, I don't think Kim wanted to stick around and potentially see him lose millions in his next deal done behind her back. Had Kim known about it, I think she would've defended Kris. Yet, she noticeably kept herself out of this one.

She was also upset about his partying and living off of her money. I know it was an NBA lockout, but Kim felt taken advantage of. Let's not forget, too, that there was the time that Kim was giving Kris a foot massage and he...tooted...in her face. That, to me, says a lot. It didn't seem that Kris respected her.

Kim wasn't perfect. Kris felt she was a Bridezilla and was also upset she wouldn't take his last name. On his end, though, I don't think these were deal breakers for him, but she wasn't his It Girl.

Finally, Kris wanted Kim to start pushing out babies. While I think this would have made her happy, they signed a prenup and Kim was already feeling like he was taking advantage of her. My guess is that she worried he'd come after her money through child support were they to divorce. Kris is not broke. In fact, he is very well off. In Kim's mind, though, I think she felt she had more to lose. The thought of 'til death do us part probably made her want to pass out.

Some say that both the marriage and divorce were a hoax and a publicity stunt -- once again, that the Kardashians are using their audience for their gain. But, thTautanis doesn't seem true because Kim wants a baby. She is a woman over 30 who wants nothing more than to follow in her family's footsteps of having both marital bliss and a baby. I've blasted Kim in previous posts for being such a showboat. Yet, I really think something serious went down between the two that made her flip the script and leave.

In the end, Kim is left with a problem that she created because she didn't follow The Rules. She found herself a man who she thinks is a money-blowing mooch and toots in her face. This is only 71 days in. I have a feeling Kim's devastated that all of this went down like it did. But, if I am right, Kim put her needs first and didn't care if she lost face with the public.

I am sure there will be more to the story as it unfolds so I will pick up writing more about it later. But, this is my initial reaction.
